About Us

At Logan Water our vision is RELIABLE, SUSTAINABLE, COMMITTED. Our mandate is to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable water and wastewater services for the benefit of the Logan Community. Logan Water is in an exciting transformational phase, bringing to life a new service model designed to optimise and modernise end to end service delivery, centrally coordinated from our new purpose-built office space including state-of-the-art Integrated Service Hub (ISH). We are seeking the absolute best to join our team in a variety of key positions aligned to our new, integrated ways of working.

About the role:

The Technical Lead (Private Works) is a full-time permanent role and reports to the Principal Water Projects Engineer (Private Works). The position is a member of the Logan Water Infrastructure Delivery Program which primarily ensures that Logan Water is equipped to deliver and oversee delivery of new and renewed infrastructure that meets the future growth needs of the City, its customers and community, and the commercial and performance obligations of Logan Water as a commercial business unit of Logan City Council.

Based out of the new purpose-built office, but frequently travelling to various projects, this role will review Private Works applications for water, wastewater, new connections whilst developing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates in liaison with planners, supervisors and other stakeholders.  The role will also be required to carry out field investigation and/or desktop study to determine the scope of work of Private Works requests and make a sound assessment on the delivery process. The role will determine resources required to deliver the scope of work identified by assessing site constraints and construction limitations and obtain quotes for materials, equipment and specialist services where required.
