About the role We currently have 1x vacancy in our Road Maintenance Program for a Street Sweeper Team Leader. This position requires an experienced and competent Team Leader for the newly established Street Sweeping Crew. We are seeking someone with demonstrated knowledge of street sweeping plant operations and thorough understanding of health & safety policies. Demonstrated experience in road construction and maintenance projects is also desirable. Let's talk further if you have the below skills and experience: - Leadership & coordination skills, with the ability to stimulate a high level of performance & foster teamwork
- Experience in a wide range of Labouring activities relating to Civil Construction is highly desirable
- Thorough understanding of Health and Safety risks and hazards monitoring practices
- Minimum possession of MR Class up to HR (or higher class) when driving vehicles >4.5T GVM with three or more axles is highly advantageous
- General Safety Induction Card (Construction Industry)
- Current "C" Class Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated experience with the operation of plant (eg. street sweeper)
- Possession of Certificate III in Civil Construction will be advantageous
- It is essential that the incumbent person operating the Street Sweeper be flexible to work hours (as an example between 12:00am - 07:00am) outside of Council's normal business hours of (06:30am - 15:36pm) to meet operational needs.
