The Opportunity

There is a unique opportunity for a Councillor Advisor for Councillor Jacob Heremaia.

This role is focused on effective communication with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and is a confident communicator able to effectively manage priorities.

More important than experience, we're looking for someone with the following characteristics:

• You're known for your ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion, sound judgement and tact in dealing with sensitive issues. 
• You can quickly build trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to respond to correspondence from the public via written and verbal communication.
• Skill to write text and design that will be distributed to the community via email, letters and flyers.
• Ability to coordinate community consultation events.  
• Capability to take photos and videos relating to government projects.

• Fixed term contract until April 2024
• $96k per year plus superannuation

The role is based in the City Administration Centre in Logan City Council, will have activities in Division 8 and has work from home flexibility.
