Logan Water have an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanant Senior Assessment Engineer in our Water Development Services Program. This position reports directly to the Assessment Team Leader. Logan is experiencing a high level of growth and it is expected that this will continue for years to come. This role is critical in ensuring that the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure undertaken by the development industry is to the highest standard. Responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to): - Assessing the water and wastewater engineering components of new development proposals.
- Providing engineering advice and recommending development conditions.
- Negotiating and preparing infrastructure and tankering agreements.
- Conducting design reviews of water and sewerage drawings for developer delivered infrastructure works
- Providing professional and specialist advice on the water and sewerage standards.
- Negotiating with stakeholders in a clear and effective manner to achieve solutions and value-focused outcomes.
To be successful in this position, applicants must have: - Possession of a tertiary qualifications in Engineering, acceptable for Engineers Australia Membership at the grade of Member.
- Demonstrated understanding of water supply and wastewater infrastructure systems through exposure to any combination of the phases of infrastructure planning, design, construction and/or operations.
- Exposure to the development of conditions in areas such as land development, technical specifications, contract documents, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevant standards and products of the South East Queensland Water Supply and Sewerage Design and Construction Code would be well regarded.
